Our main areas for training are the Costa del Azahar and Costa Blanca in the Valencian coast. These areas offer excellent weather all year long - in fact, most of the professional teams travel there for their winter training camps. You can ride in the flat or train in the mountains for hours on great quality roads and with barely any traffic.
Cycling is a very popular sport in the Valencian region and on a regular weekend you can find large groups of cyclists. We will show you well frequented routes by cyclists and stops where you will be able to stop for nice coffee and tapas.
The Valencian gastronomy is the best in the world in rice cuisine, with the ever-popular paella the most well-known dish but with many other options to choose from. Fresh local vegetables and fruit also form part of the regular menu offered to all our cyclists.
The orography of the terrain allows cyclists to train from 0m to over 1,000m high in the same day which allows you to ride hard in the mountains while staying by our seaside provided accommodation. Well-known climbs are regularly on the menu, such as Cumbre del Sol (stage finish in the 2015 and 2017 Vuelta), Coll de Rates or Tudons in the Costa Blanca; and Mas de la Costa (stage finish in the 2016 Vuelta), Desierto de Las Palmas and La Serratella (which feature in the 2017 Vuelta a España).
You will be staying in places that have been carefully selected so you can enjoy cycling but also have time for non-cycling activities, such as sunbathing on sandy beaches, tasting local tapas or exploring the local culture.
